T has my right arm tied up for the armbar.. I am defending by grabbing my own lapel.
Step 1: Using the forearm of my left arm, I push T's bottom leg (closest to my hip) towards my legs and put it into my half guard.
Step 2: When I trap the leg I should have a lockdown on the outside of his leg. **If I am trapping T's right leg, my left leg comes over and my right leg secures the triangle lockdown on the outside of the trapped leg**
Step 3: I use my hand/forearm to push the leg over my face behind my head
Step 4: I use my head and arch my back to put pressure on the T's left leg
Step 5: My left arm comes across my body towards T's head while I use my legs to come on top
Step 6: Land in T's half guard and get head control

Knee On Belly Escape
Step 1: Assuming the top guy has knee on belly on my right side, I bring my left arm up to grap the lapel of T and pull down to break his base.
Step 2: When T bases out his arm on my left side I use my left arm to come in between the space of his arm and his knee.
Step 3: Using my underhook and pushing against his belt above his groin I shrimp up and take the back
Step 2: When T bases out his arm on my left side I use my left arm to come in between the space of his arm and his knee.
Step 3: Using my underhook and pushing against his belt above his groin I shrimp up and take the back
Open Guard Pass
This pass and it's variations are done when the bottom player has one leg wrapped up De La Riva style and Spider Guard control on the arm.
In this scenario I'll pretend my right leg is the one wrapped up and my left arm is being controlled at the bicep by spider guard.
Pass #1 Basic Pass
Step 1: My left hand grips the gi pants at the knee or wherever it can on the leg
Step 2: My right leg that is trapped by the DLR hook and ankle grip turns to face my left side. I use this angle created to break the angle of the grips and in one motion "kick" my trapped leg out to break the grips.
Step 3: I bring my right leg behind me in a semicircle so that my left leg is now forward.
Step 4: Using my left hand's grip on the pant leg, I bring the leg across my body and pass the guard.
Step 5: I maintain the pants grip and bring my shoulder onto the side/back of the bottom player to keep them from moving.
Pass #2 When the trapped leg cannot be freed
Step 1: I follow step 1 from Pass #1
Step 2: Because I cannot free my leg, I straighten out the trapped leg and lean towards my trapped arm as if I am doing a leg stretch.
Step 3: Using my bent left leg, I use my knee to press against the back of the bottom player's ankle to break the spider guard.
Step 4: My freed arm comes around the outside of B's leg for a thumb in collar grip
Step 5: Smash pass to side control.
Pass #3 When B SGuards's Opposite Arm After Grip Break
Step 1: Follow Step's 1-3 in Pass #2
*Bottom player instead institutes a spider guard grip on my right arm*
Step 2: I bring my right arm across my body and pass on the right side to side control.

Step 2: I bring my right arm across my body and pass on the right side to side control.

2 Counters to Standing Guard Pass
These are counters to http://stile0.blogspot.com/2011/03/standing-guard-pass-with-trapped-lapel.html
Counter 1:
Step 1: As T brings their left leg around to begin the pass, I switch my lapel grip from my right hand to my left.
Step 2: My left hand grabs at the back of T's lapel at the neck
Step 3: Once T is on the ground and in my half guard, I use my half guard hook to sweep T
Step 4: Keeping the neck grip and the lapel grip I come on top and control the position
Counter 2:
*Assume T has brought their left leg around but I didn't have enough time to switch my grips on their lapel*
Step 1: I turn into T and using my right arm, I create space and bring my head against T's body
Step 2: My right arm then comes around the back of T's head and forms an S grip with my left arm that was gripping the lapel between T's legs.
Step 3: To get T over I can use my right leg *while left leg keeps T's leg trapped* to hook T's free leg to bring them over me
Step 4: Land in side control and maintain position

Standing Guard Pass With Trapped Lapel
I am standing in B's guard with my right foot closest to B's groin. B has their left arm around the outside of leg and a lapel grip.
Step 1: I grip B's right knee with my left hand while right hand grabs the back of the gi
Step 2: I lower my shoulder into B's head for head control
Step 3: My left leg swings around my hip while maintaining both grips
Step 4: Landing in half guard, I use my left leg to kick my right leg free and gain side control

Standing Guard Pass *Rowing Pass*
I'm standing square to Bottom guy and he has a sleeve grip on my left sleeve with his right hand.
Step 1: Counter the B's sleeve grip and get a grip on B's sleeve.
Step 2: With my right hand, reach across my body to grab B's right pant leg at the cuff
Step 3: Taking a small step back and maintain posture
Step 4: While pulling on the sleeve grip and the pants grip, step around to land in knee on belly position
From here there is an option to go for a same side armbar
